We went to Vienna because the flights were cheap and we hadn't traveled anywhere since November. Our main--really, our only--goal was the take advantage of the rides at the Prater, but there were other things to do, too.
We wandered the city a bit. Took some touristy photos of the cathedral. Mostly were looked at souvenir shops, though, which aren't necessarily photographable.
We went to the Schmetterlinghaus (which is fun to say out loud) and took pictures of butterflies. The room was really steamy so most of my photos didn't take, but I liked these. And then I took a picture of Asa, and he asked me to take two more of him looking "deep."
We made our way to the Albertina Contemporary Museum to look at some contemporary art.
We took the subway up to the zoo and the Schonbrunn palace, to look at the animals and wander the gardens.
Fun fact: Marie Antoinette grew up here.
But our main destination was the Prater, where we ended every day. I didn't bring my camera most of the time so I took relatively few photos, but we enjoyed it quite a bit. The boys did all the thrill rides they could do. Laura and I mostly did not.
Though we did all ride the famous giant Ferris wheel, only a few of dared to look down.
