After Puerto Rico, we spent some time traveling up and down the east coast. Our first stop was New Jersey, which we have obviously driven through many times but had never spent the night in. We stayed at Bordentown, which was both cuter and more historic than we expected. Here's just about the only picture I took, though.
After visiting Cape Cod for twenty years, Laura finally offered to take me Martha's Vineyard for the first time.
We took the boys to Boston to see Harvard. So I can say I went there now. It felt very learn-y.
We went boating, more or less. And swimming.
And then we went to Pittsburgh. Who goes to Pittsburgh on vacation? We do, apparently. And you know, I liked it.
We were in Pittsburgh for the Andy Warhol Museum. Obviously.
I'm going to try to include these two gifs. If they don't work, well, I did my best. One is Asa doing a screen test, the other is the piece called Silver Balloons.
I'm in love with the black one in the middle, "Seismograph." If someone wants to find me a print of it, that would be a lovely present for me.
A different artist did these bears. They were cute. The artist had another exhibit that was mattresses you could sit on or touch, but you had to wear gloves. It was off-putting. Likewise, these bears were behind a rope. I don't know if the intention was to be off-putting and friendly, but that's what it was. However, at the science museum we saw a guitar exhibit. I took a picture of my favorite guitar.
