I didn't take too many pictures this summer, even though we did a lot of awesome things and I lugged my whole camera bag all around the world. And also, the few pictures I took didn't end up getting posted here, because I was lazy. But now, in all its glory, I present the few parts of the summer that I did photograph.
Specifically the Cape Cod Canal, on which I rode my bicycle in the mornings. It's pretty all the time, but I brought my camera specifically to catch that early morning fog.
Julian's summer hobby is flying raptors in New Hampshire. This year we tried to take this guy, who was very handsome but apparently not in the mood, so we ended up taking his brother, who was slightly smaller and hungrier but less willing to pose for the camera (and whose name I also forgot).
We rented a house on New Silver Beach that I should have taken a picture of but didn't. But here are some nice things I saw while biking around the area. Note that the picture without the house was taken at Woods Hole--I rode the entirety of the Shining Sea Path (25 miles!) and all I got was that picture. My proudest achievement of the summer.
It wasn't the 'antique' car parade in Sagamore Beach, but it was a parade nonetheless, and some of the costumes were quite cute. My favorite is the Rockford Peach, because that's still a good movie. Who are these people? Don't know, don't care. Should have taken pictures of my own family but they weren't in costume.
And at night, to the beach itself for fireworks.
The boys learned that if you play piano at the mall, you might get some money out of it. And Julian fulfilled his year-long dream to eat a lobster. And VR games are just fun.
They spent a few weeks with my parents in North Carolina. All I know about that time is what my mom shared on WhatsApp.
And as always, we end the summer with a few days in the Netherlands. This time, we spent a day at Europe's Largest Playground.
And for our final leg we toured Amsterdam and took in culture and stuff. We stayed on a houseboat that, again, I should have taken a picture of.
