Shared Birthday Party

It's taken us a few tries to get the birthday balance right. With both boys celebrating their birthdays within two weeks of each other, things can get complicated (and expensive) quickly. This year we let them each have a family-only 'party' at home, and then a shared proper birthday blowout. There are still a few kinks to work out, but I think we are moving in the right direction.

We chose Makindye Country Club because the food is good and the pool is a decent size.

Remarkably little swimming, as it turned out. Between the playground and the room showing "Moana," everyone was too occupied to swim for long. I was too busy drinking and chatting to take too many pictures, but you get the idea. Party time. And with that, Birthday Season at Casa Gonzalez is over for the year.
