We went a small group of friends to Lake Mburo National Park, which is the national park nearest to Kampala. It's about a five hour drive. We chose Rwakobo Rock as our hotel, which was beautiful.
The pool was small but the view was fantastic.
Like a little monkey, Asa liked sunning himself on the rock after a swim.
We spent pretty much all of our time at the rock, because the rooms were quite dim and the view was, of course, breathtaking.
Up past the room was the Top of the Rock, which offered stunning views of the area, and no guard rails!
The baboons invaded the restaurant constantly. This guy stole a whole bunch of bananas. Another one stole a bottle of ketchup, and another one stole the orange juice pitcher. It was kind of funny.
But the real reason to go there, beyond relaxing in a really cool hotel, was to check out the animals, which we did.
We found live zebras soon enough.
We drove through the national park itself, and saw hundreds more zebras, as well as some of these guys.
